For us, the best way to experience Skye is early Spring or late Autumn at an unhurried pace. Roaming from Mountain to Sea. Most the eateries and cafes are closed which makes it even better in some ways. Slow morning coffee at the Cowshed Bunkhouse in Uig peering out into the bay watching the Calmac ferry leave for its first sailing of the day through to sunset beers perched overlooking Neist Point with some Oysters and Langos at the Oyster Shed in between make an incredible few days easily achieved in a weekend from any of Scotland’s cities.
